MEET KIRSTEN

BUILDING HOPE AND BUILDING FUTURES

Kirsten and her husband Kent have lived in West Linn for 14 years. Their two daughters attend Trillium Creek Primary School. She currently is the chair of the WLWV School District Budget Committee, and the chair of the West Linn Library Foundation.

Kirsten is the co-founder and executive director of ELGL, the Engaging Local Government Leaders. ELGL is an international network of 5,000 town, city, county, and district elected officials and employees.

Previously, she served as the Assistant City Manager in West Linn, Oregon; and as an Education Finance Analyst for the Virginia Department of Education.

She also serves on the Board of Directors for Politisit, a non-profit that reimburses child care costs so parents can get involved with government.

"I'm running for position three on the West Linn Wilsonville School Board on the May 18, 2021 ballot. I currently serve as the School District Budget Committee chair and also volunteer on the West Linn Library Foundation Board of Directors. I'm running with a focus on fiscal sustainability, community engagement, and innovative leadership because I love our schools and our communities, and I want to maintain our schools’ strong reputations."
